Annoucing the winner of six California State Fair Creative Arts Competition awards…

That’s right, ME!  I still can’t believe it!

The state fair has a scrapbooking division and a card-making division in the creative arts category.  The scrapbooking division has two classes, the card-making has four.  Each participant can submit only one entry per class.  So I entered in all six, and I recently found out that each of my six entries placed!

I scanned my projects before I turned them in.  The scrapbook pages look a little funny in the scan because they had to be 12×12 2-page spreads.  My scanner only goes up to 8 1/2 x 11 so I had to scan each page 4 times and stitch them together on the computer.

That’s all right.  Everyone in California will just have to go to the fair to see them in person!  🙂   I’ll also bring my entries to my workshops in September.

Now you can all tell your friends, that you have an award-winning demonstrator! 🙂

  1. Well, it’s easy to see why you placed so well – no matter what the competition was like! They are wonderful!!! I ADORE the scrapbooking pages!!! And I really like the tri-fold “Thinking of you” card! 🙂 Great job!!!

  2. Oops, forgot to ask… do you get your creations back?

  3. Yes, I pick them up after the fair is over.
And thanks so much for the compliments!!
The tri-fold one is copied from the birthday card I made for Tom this year. I just never got around to posting it. May & June were too busy!

  4. Awesome pages! 🙂

Check out this lil diddy…scrap challenge!

  5. Gorgeous! Especially the scrapbook pages. Nice subjects, too.

  6. Congrats!

I want to see the card that beat your tri-fold Thinking of You card. I think that one is beautiful.

I wonder if the judges thought it was more like scrapbooking than like a regular card.

That’s so exciting that they all won!
