Shelli Gardner, the co-founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up! gave all demonstrators the stamp set, Polka Dots & Paisley, for Christmas.  Just one of the many perks of being a part of Stampin’ Up! 🙂  Thanks, Shelli!

Polka Dots and Paisley will be sold in the Spring Mini Catalog from March 1st through June 30th.  Also in the catalog are coordinating Designer Series papers and a jumbo wheel!

I made this card for a swap I’m doing with some other demonstrators next week.  I think I may also use it as a project for my March workshops.

a striking little box

At a workshop Friday night, the hostess, Gina Matranga, taught her guests and me how to make this cool box!  She’s made a lot of these for weddings and baby showers.  The coolest thing about this box is that it takes no measuring.  This one is 2″ x 2″, but you could make it any size just by starting with a larger square of cardstock.

Stamp Sets:  A Greeting for All Reasons, Soft Swirls background stamp

Paper:  Basic Black, Brushed Silver, Real Red

Ink:  Silver Encore! Pad

Accessories:  Silver Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Silver Cord

Romance

I made this for my hubby for Valentine’s day.  I think it would also make a very nice wedding or anniversary card.

The colors and tag were inspired by a card on Splitcoast Stampers.

I made the background by masking half the cardstock with a torn piece of paper.  Use Dotto for a temporary bond.  Then I inked up my Brayer with Real Red classic ink, and rolled it over the cardstock.  Next, with the mask still in place, stamp with the background stamp.

Stamp sets- Tagger’s Dozen (winter mini catalog), French Script background stamp, Too Terrific Tags (retired, sorry!)

Paper- Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink- Real Red, Basic Black

Accessories- Tag Punch, Silver Brad, Black Gingham Ribbon, Black Grosgrain Ribbon, 1/8″ Circle Punch, Mini Envelope Template

February workshop projects

Happy Valentine’s Day!

These are the projects for all my Totally-Hands-On workshops this month.

This tri-fold card came out of Stampin’ Up!’s demonstrator magazine.  It is so fast to put together with the circle punches!

Stamp Sets- So Very (free Sell-A-Bration set!!), Dotted background stamp

Paper- Summer Sun, Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White

Ink- Rose Red, Summer Sun, Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant

Accessories- 3/4″, 1 1/4″ & 1 3/8″ Circle Punches, Dimensionals

Isn’t this a sweet picture of my brother Joseph, and my son Jared when he was about 8 months old?  This is a 6×6 brag book size page.

Stamp Sets- Tagger’s Dozen (winter mini catalog), Hot to Dot wheel

Paper- Bashful Blue, Kraft, Whisper White, Vellum Cardstock

Ink- Ballet Blue

Accessories- Tag Punch & Small Tag Punch, 1/8″ Circle Punch, Light Blue & Caramel Gingham Ribbon, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Write Me a Memory Font CD

This box was inspired by a beautiful card in the Splitcoast Stampers Delight in Life gallery.  Its hard to see in the photos, but the “delight in life” saying is stamped in white under the focal image.

For those of you who have been to several of my workshops, you’ve probably made the 2-4-6-8 box.  This box uses the same simple idea, but instead of each of the sides being 2″, the front is 3″ & the sides are 1″.

Stamp set- Delight in Life (free SAB set!!)

Paper- Basic Black & Whisper White

Ink- Basic Black, Whisper White Craft

Accessories- Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 2-Way Glue Pen, Ticket Corner Punch

Ahoy, a pirate birthday!

February 6, 2007 at 8:29 pm | Posted in Projects, Scrapbooking, Stamp Set- Ahoy Matey!, Stamp Set- Matey's Map jumbo wheel, Stamp Sets, Stampin' Up!, Technique- Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Technique- Watercoloring, Techniques | Comments Off on Ahoy, a pirate birthday!

I made this two-page spread last week.  It’s of a really fun birthday party for Esther’s friend, Ricky.  I waited to post until I had shown Ricky’s mom first.

Stamp sets: Ahoy Matey, Classic Alphabet, Matey’s Map jumbo wheel

Paper: Bashful Blue, Brilliant Blue, Real Red & Watercolor Paper

Ink: Jet Black StazOn Pad, Basic Black Jumbo Wheel Cartridge

Accessories:  Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Aquapainter, Antique Brass Hodgepodge Hardware, Bluebird Grosgrain

I finally used the Watercolor Paper this weekend.  Stamping on this paper with StazOn works so well for watercoloring!  I love how thick and durable it is!  It doesn’t fall apart when wet the way other cardstocks sometimes do.

Ricky’s parents asked if they could have copies of the photos we took.  So of course I stamped the CD label, too!  🙂
