Spring Mini Swaps
March 11, 2007 at 12:13 pm | In New Products, Projects, Stamp Set- Polka Dots & Paisley, Stamp Sets, Stampin' Up! | Comments OffLast Monday, I attended a shoebox swap with the 24/7 Stampers group, a demonstrator group led by my friend Ann Clemmer. A shoebox swap is where each demonstrator brings a completed card as a sample for their swap and brings (in a shoebox) all the supplies needed for the attending demonstrators to make the swap. Most of the swaps used the Polka Dots and Paisley stamp set from the Spring Mini Catalog. The other swaps featured some of the other stamp sets from the spring mini.
Here are the Polka Dot & Paisley samples:

And other spring mini sets:
The sets featured are Glorious Gift, Crab & Company, Bunny Hugs & Doodle That.
March THO Projects
March 9, 2007 at 12:49 pm | In Events, Projects, Stamp Set- Polka Dots & Paisley, Stamp Set- Roses in Winter, Stamp Set- Wishing You the Best, Stamp Sets, Stampin' Up! | Comments OffAt my Totally Hands On workshops this month, we’ll be making the card I created for a shoebox swap. Because this card is pretty time-consuming, the other projects we’re doing are really simple.
It can’t get much better than that smile, can it? This is my adorable son, Jared, last November.
Stamp sets: Wishing You the Best ($2 from the sale of each of these sets is donated to the Ronald McDonald House charity), Everyday Flexible Phrases, Simple Sayings II
Paper: Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Ink: Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: White Grosgrain, Rectangle Punch, 1 1/4″ & 1 3/8″ Circle Punches, Dimensionals
Easter is coming up, so I thought we’d make a pretty, spring basket. This is very simple to do and uses only a 6×6 square of cardstock (plus a strip of cardstock or ribbon for a handle).
Stamp Set: Roses In Winter (one of my all-time favorites! you just can’t mess this one up!)
Paper: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Mellow Moss
Accessories: it really helps to have a nice Paper Cutter with a Scoring Blade
I got the template off the Stampin’ Up! demonstrator website, and found some awesome samples on Splitcoast. Here’s one of my favorite pics (made by Cambria) because it shows some variations you can do with this basket. (I’m not sure if this pic is located in one of the demonstrator-only sections, so if you can’t see it, someone let me know and I’ll put a copy here.)
