More “Home Again” Samples

I just had my Scrapbook in an Afternoon class. I had a great time! (I think my participants did, too!) Wow, did we have a speedy group today. I had planned the class to take 3 hrs (we made 20 6×6 pages), but everyone was done in 1 1/2 hrs! Everyone stayed around and watched while I taught one of my stamp club members who had missed last night’s meeting how to make Pull Treats. (I’ll post those another day.)
While everyone was putting together their pages using the Home Again Simply Scrappin’ Kit, I used the left over pieces from my kit to make a few cards. I used only the kit, the Warm Words stamp set, Sincere Salutations stamp set & a Chocolate Chip Classic ink pad. Oh, and a little Linen Thread & Dimensionals.
I love those kits! You really have to see them to appreciate what great quality & value they are.
a quick birthday card
May 14, 2007 at 9:05 am | In Projects, Simply Scrappin' Kits, Stamp Set- Dotted, Stamp Set- Eat Cake, Stamp Sets, Stampin' Up! | Comments OffMy nephew, Oliver, turned 9 this month. We didn’t have time to buy him a gift, and we know how much kids love getting money. So, I made a card pocket card to hold the cash. I love using Simply Scrappin’ Kits to put together cards. I also stamped the cake from the matching stamp set, Eat cake, on the envelope in the coordinating inks (but didn’t take a photo of that).
Stamps: Eat Cake (for the happy birthday saying), Dotted background, Brushstroke Numbers (retiring this June!)
Paper: Party Pieces Simply Scrappin’ Kit
Accessories: Turquoise & White Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Key Tag Punch
birthday cards
March 22, 2007 at 2:25 pm | In Projects, Simply Scrappin' Kits, Stamp Set- Dotted, Stamp Set- Eat Cake, Stamp Sets, Stampin' Up! | Comments OffMy brother and his wife came for a weekend visit. My brother’s birthday just passed, and my sister-in-law’s birthday is coming up.
For both of their birthday cards, I used layouts that I’ve recently had success with.
This card uses the same idea as a card that I made for my February workshop projects.
Stamp Set: Eat Cake, Dotted background
Paper: Mellow Moss, Night of Navy, Bordering Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Mellow Moss, Night of Navy & Bordering Blue Markers
Accessories: 3/4″, 1 1/4″ & 1 3/8″ Circle Punches, Navy Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals
I somehow lost my photo of my sister-in-law’s card closed! Arg! But this is what it looks like when it is open. It uses the same fold as my st. patty’s card.
Stamp Set: Sincere Salutations
Ink: Sage Shadow
Paper: Simply Scrappin’ Kit- In Full Bloom, Lovely Lilac Cardstock
Accessories: White Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals
