Video Tutorial: Holiday Ornament
November 17, 2008 at 10:08 pm | In Accessories- Designer Series Papers, Projects, Stampin' Up!, Technique- Home Decor | Leave a CommentMy favorite stamper (and Stampin’ Up’s CEO), Shelli Gardner, made a great video tutorial that is on my Demontrator Website. Click the photo below to link to the page on my site where you can watch the video.
Everything Shelli used (including the adhesive, and all the embellishments!) is included in the Country Living Holiday Kit! You can order it online for yourself (or a really nice gift for a friend!). Just click the “Shop Now” button at the top of the page where you watch the video.
I’m on Stampers Showcase
November 12, 2008 at 10:03 am | In Accessories- Punches, Projects, Stamp Sets, Stampin' Up!, Technique- Watercoloring, Techniques, Wheel- Sweet Stars | Leave a CommentWell, I’m not. My card is.
Do you remember the card I shared with you yesterday? It had been featured on the Stampers Showcase on the Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator website. Coincidently, one of my cards is featured there today! Stampin’ Up! chooses 4-6 cards to be featured each day. They receive these cards from contest submissions and swaps at Events. This card is a swap I made for Convention.

Supplies
Stamp Sets: Pun Fun, Sweet Stars Jumbo Wheel
Ink: Jet Black StazOn, Uninked Jumbo Cartridge inked with VersaMark Refill
Paper: Real Red, Brocade Blue, Always Artichoke and Whisper White Card Stocks
Accessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons, AquaPainter, 1/4″ Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon, Word Window Punch, Star Punch, Silver Brad, 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch
I hadn’t planned on posting today. I’m starting a pattern this week that I can’t possibly keep up. Oh well.
Happy Veteran’s Day!

Many have the day off of work and school today, and while we’re out playing (or in stamping!) let’s not forget those who gave us our freedoms.
I can’t take credit for this card. Isn’t it beautiful? It was made by Lorelei Stone, a fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, and was shared on the demonstrator-only side of the website. I love her watercoloring! She also embossed the images with black embossing powder to make them pop.
This beautiful set, The Free and the Brave, can’t be found in our current catalog, but is still available to order. It is one of the thirty-six stamp sets and wheels on our current Dormant List. Click here to download the Dormant List. You can view and order these sets online as well.

Technique Video: Watercoloring
November 8, 2008 at 12:07 pm | In Projects, Stampin' Up!, Technique- Watercoloring, Techniques | 1 CommentStampin’ Up! has provided a wonderful technique video on my Demonstrator Website (www.ruth.stampinup.net). I believe the video changes each month. Click on the photo below to go to the page where you can watch the video. It can also be found on the main page of my Demonstrator Website.
Carrie Cudney did a great job on this. I always love to watch her present at the Stampin’ Up! conventions.

As Carrie said, if you have any questions about watercoloring, just ask! It is one of my favorite techniques.
Also, if you’d like hands-on training, watercoloring is a great technique to learn in a workshop. I find that new and advanced stampers have a great time with this technique.
