Get Inked!

Last week was my DH, Tom’s, birthday!  HB, honey!  I made him this neat “suspension card”.  When you open the card, the circle suspended in the window spins.

To create a suspension card like this, glue floss or fishing line in between the two circle pieces.  Use Sticky Strip!  Before glueing the rectangle focal point layers together, punch the circle window.  Then glue the top & bottom of the floss in between the layers in the center of the window.  Before closing the card & putting it in the envelope to brighten someone’s day, twist the circle pieces about four times.  This way, when the card is opened, it will be let loose and will spin back to the way it was originally.

After I took the above photos, I decided last minute to add polka dots to the present image using the white gel pen.  I’m not sure if I like the new look.  But Tom says it definitely looks better with the dots.   What do you think?
